Environment and wildlife conservation in Brazil

As the most biodiverse country on earth, Brazil's an ideal place to get experience in environmental conservation. Past Fellows have worked with NGOs educating locals and tourists about environmental issues, and with rescue and rehabilitation centers for a variety of animals including otters, parrots, and sea turtles.

Marco worked at an NGO providing hands-on environmental education to kids.

Danielle worked at an animal rehabilitation and rescue center.

Fernanda worked at a marine turtle conservation project.

"I guide visitors in a one-hour tour that teaches about marine turtles and raises awareness of environmental conservation. Giving the tours (in Portuguese!) is the most challenging part of my apprenticeship and also the most rewarding."
